 
                            
                            East West Media Group Limited, the media concern of Bashundhara Group, has donated Taka 100000 (One hundred thousand) to the family of Imon Sarder, a newspaper hawker died in a road accident recently. The Chairman of the Board of Editors of the outlets of East West Media Group Limited and Additional Managing Director of Bashundhara Group Safwan Sobhan handed over the cheque to Imon’s mother Shahida Begum at his office at Bashundhara City on today. Imon (11) was run over by a city bus at Moghbazar in the city on September 02, 2010. He was the only earning member of his family as his father died before. Shahida Begum expressed her gratitude for the financial assistance saying that she regained hope of survival with Bashundhara help which she lost after her husband and only son’s death. Bashundhara Group has always come forward for the welfare of the people. They extend their hands to help the helpless and less privileged people of the society apart from their welfare activities with Bashundhara Foundation under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
