News24, a round-the-clock news channel, is celebrated its first anniversary amid festivity and new pledge to push the country forward with the spirit of liberation war and development.
Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir, his son Walid Sobhan and the TV channel’s Chief Executive Officer Naem Nizam inaugurated the celebration by cutting a giant cake on Friday morning,
Naem Nizam, also the Editor of Bangladesh Pratidin, delivered an introductory speech, describing how the TV channel was planned and how it came into being within a short span of time.
Former minister and Jatiya Party leader GM Quader, Bangladesh Chhatra League ex-President AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, Rupayan Group Chairman’s Adviser Maj Gen Abdus Salam (retd), Bangladesh Jatiya Party President Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho, and former deputy minister and BNP leader Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu attended the cake cutting ceremony.
Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milon, Daily Sun Acting Editor Enamul Hoque Chowdhury, Kaler Kantha Executive Editor Mostafa Kamal and Daily Sun Executive Editor Shiabur Rahman were also present.
The next segment of the session took place in the studio where Prime Minister’s Special Envoy and Jatiya Party Chairman Hussain Muhammad Ershad, Awami League joint general secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanok, Rabiul Alam Muktadir MP, DMP Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mian, RAB DG Benazir Ahmed and Ekattor TV Director Syed Ishtiaq Reza delivered speeches and wished News 24, among others.
Editors and high officials of the daily sun, Kaler Kantha, Bangladesh Pratidin, Banglanews24.com and Radio Capital of the East West Media Group Ltd (EWMGL), a concern of Bashundhara Group, also wished News24 with flower bouquets.
They all said News24 has managed to become one of the leading TV channels in the country within a short span of time due to the support from its CEO Naem Nizam, Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan and its Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir
News24 station started operation on July 28 in 2016.
